Dr. Amy Holsten, PhD, LP

Dr. Holsten is a Licensed Psychologist who has more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Holsten's primary focus is psychological assessments and she has extensive experience providing comprehensive psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning with expertise in the area of autism spectrum disorder. When time allows, Dr. Holsten enjoys providing therapy services and has expertise in the are of complex trauma and traumatic grief in children and adolescents. She utilized TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and other approaches to work with children and families to help them manage anxiety, depression, behavior disorders and ADHD.
Dr. Holsten's primary focus in both assessment and treatment is to provide information and tools that are evidence based, easy to understand, collaborative, and tailored to your child's unique strengths and your families specific needs. Dr. Holsten strives to identify these challenges through a comprehensive and objective assessment combined with an in depth understanding of how identified challenges impact both your child and your family in order to develop a treatment plan that is practice and useful. Dr. Holsten believes that assessment is a collaborative process with information from parents and teachers playing an integral role in the assessment process.
